Esther Ngan

For many years, Esther has been painting and sculpting as a profound means of expressing her inner feelings. As a mother, she has developed a deep sensitivity to the educational and emotional needs of children, which shines through in her creative endeavors. In 2008, Esther began exploring the virtual world of Second Life, where she created avatars and various models. Her talent soon led her to significant projects, such as building major parts of the Virtual Fort Thüngen, hosted by the National Museum of History and Art in Luxembourg, in 2012. Later, she contributed to the creation of historical buildings and houses for the virtual 1867 Pfaffenthal, hosted by the Luxembourg City Museum.Esther's creativity excels in idea generation. It was her initiative that transformed the 1867 project into a transmedia experience, demonstrating her invaluable input across various 3D and virtual projects. Her contributions have also enriched numerous puppet theater projects, including the creation of many puppet heads and costumes for the Bimbo Theater and the Poppentheater Hoplabum.

In 2022, Esther designed new puppets for the Police Grand-Ducale Puppet Show, a cherished tradition in Luxembourg where police officers educate children about traffic safety through engaging puppet performances.

Esther will play a pivotal role in the artistic vision of Liminaris, from designing the ship's interior to writing andproducing puppet shows and creating the marionettes. Her multifaceted talents and boundless creativity will be integral to bringing the Liminaris project to life.

Pit Vinandy

For twelve years, Pit toured Europe as a traveling musician. Back in Luxembourg, he played in various

folk, folk jazz and folk rock groups (Clanrock, Mistral, Heartlands, Exodus Likembe, Pray, Lompekréimer,

Thanatheros). Between 1990 and 1996 Pit participated in a large number of cinematic and TV productions (stage manager, location scouting, special effects). As a puppeteer, he founded 2 companies (Bimbo Theater, Hoplabum), and produced a television series with puppets. (De Sandmännche Pit, RTL 1995, 70 episodes). Since 2007, he has played across Europe, concerts, festivals but also in the virtual world Second Life as a cyberpiper. (a fusion of traditional and electronic music). In 2009, Luxembourg filmmaker Beryl Koltz shot the documentary 'Strangers in the night' with Lucill Film, which shows the double life of Pit alias cyberpiper between the real world and Second Life. Since 2015, in artistic collaboration with his wife Esther Ngan, Pit has been the main developer of the transmedia project 1867 (video game, TV series, virtual reality). Together they now develop educational computer games on the ROBLOX platform. Recently another game, Vianden 1485 has been released. In 2015 Pit was one of the founding members of the ‘Poppespënnchen asbl’ which manages the first permanent puppet theater in Luxembourg (Lasauvage), of which he is currently director. Since 2018 he has directed the choir ‘Sang a Klang’ in Pfaffenthal. Since 2012 Pit has been the proud father of little Lilou.
